Tokenomics

STRATEGIC TOKEN DESIGNSIMULATION AND VALIDATIONREGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Tokenomics is the economic design of a token: total supply, issuance schedule, distribution among participants, utility and the mechanisms that incentivise holding or remove units from circulation. It determines whether the model holds up over time. Unknown Gravity models and documents tokenomics for issuances and protocols.

Design and optimize the economic structure of your blockchain project with customized tokenomics strategies.

Set out the issuance, distribution and incentives of your token with figures and assumptions you can defend. A token economy model does not guarantee value, demand or appreciation.

01 / What is tokenomics and why is it crucial for your project?

Tokenomics is the economic basis of any blockchain project, defining how a token is created, distributed and used within its ecosystem.

A well-designed strategy aims for the token to be useful, to support adoption and to hold up under adverse scenarios. What it delivers is not a guarantee, but explicit assumptions and tests of what happens when they fail.

02 / Key Elements of a Successful Tokenomics Strategy

Some of the key elements are:

  • Initial distribution: We designed a balanced plan to distribute tokens among founders, investors and the community.
  • Incentive models: We create mechanisms to reward active users and encourage retention.
  • Supply management: we define the issuance schedule, lock-ups and, where appropriate, burn mechanisms, and we document their expected effect on circulation. We do not design or operate price-support mechanisms: in crypto-assets admitted to trading, such conduct may amount to market manipulation (Art. 91 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, CELEX 32023R1114).

03 / How we promote the success of your token

Our team analyzes the market, project objectives and current trends to create a tailor-made strategy.

In addition, we measure the impact of issuance, volatility and incentives on the token economy, and we document the scenarios in which the model stops holding up.

04 / Do I need tokenomics for my token?

Yes, tokenomics (token economy) is fundamental to the success of any token. It is the set of rules and principles that define how the token is created, distributed and used within its ecosystem. Well-structured tokenomics makes clear what the token is for, how many there are, who holds them and when they unlock. That lets an investor or a user analyze the project with figures in hand. It does not secure any future value or any appreciation.

Strong tokenomics includes aspects such as:

  • Offer and issue: How many tokens will be issued in total and how will they be distributed?
  • Uses of the token: How useful is it in your project (payments, rewards, access, governance)?
  • Incentive mechanics: How do you encourage the adoption and continued use of the token?
  • Initial distribution: Distribution between team, investors, reserves, community, etc.
  • Burning or staking models: If they apply, how are they managed to maintain the token's economy.

05 / Tokenomics decides your regulatory framework

Economic decisions set the classification before the code does. If the token distributes profits, acknowledges a debt or grants voting rights, it is a transferable security: MiCA does not apply and securities law does (Art. 2(4), point (a), of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, CELEX 32023R1114; Law 6/2023 (LMVSI), BOE-A-2023-7053). If it seeks to hold a stable value referenced to an official currency, it is an e-money token and only an authorized credit institution or electronic money institution may offer it to the public (Art. 48(1) of the same Regulation). We settle that reading before fixing issuance and distribution, because redoing it later forces a redeployment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why is it important to have a tokenomics strategy?

A solid strategy sets out what the token is for, how it is distributed and which incentives sustain it, with explicit assumptions and tests of what happens when they fail. It does not guarantee usefulness, demand or long-term sustainability: it narrows the blind spots you decide with.

What problems can a tokenomics strategy solve?

It helps manage inflation, the uneven distribution of tokens, and the lack of incentives for users and developers.

Can the tokenomics strategy be adjusted after the launch?

Yes, adjustments are possible, although it's ideal to have a robust design from the start.

We offer post-launch analysis for optimizations.
