Blockchain for voting and governance records each vote on a verifiable distributed ledger, so the count can be audited without relying on an intermediary. It is used in shareholder meetings, cooperatives and decentralized autonomous organizations. Unknown Gravity develops the contracts and the voting interfaces.

Voting and governance are fundamental processes for any organization. As the world moves toward digitalization, traditional voting systems face security, transparency and reliability challenges. With blockchain, votes are recorded in a verifiable and auditable way: it does not eliminate fraud or human error, but it leaves a trace of every step. We work on corporate and community voting, not political elections: in Spain remote electronic voting has no legal basis in political elections (Arts. 84 to 87 and 72 to 73 LOREG, LO 5/1985; Art. 68.1 of the Spanish Constitution).

## 01 / Security and privacy in voting with blockchain

Blockchain lets every vote be encrypted and recorded. With advanced encryption technologies and decentralized control, any later alteration of a vote is detectable, which makes the process traceable and verifiable.

## 02 / Reducing fraud in voting processes

By not relying on a centralized entity, blockchain reduces the risk of vote manipulation. The immutable record and its decentralized validation make any later alteration detectable, which reinforces the integrity of the process. The accuracy of the roll and the identity of each voter still depend on controls at source.

## 03 / Improving governance in organizations

Blockchain can also be used to manage decision-making processes within organizations. It allows members of a community or company to participate in decision-making, ensuring that the process is transparent and on the record. Conflicts of interest are not solved by technology: they are a company-law matter, with a duty for the affected member to abstain (Art. 190 LSC, BOE-A-2010-10544).

## 04 / Real-time auditing without intermediaries

Blockchain-based voting platforms allow results to be audited in real time, reducing the verification work afterwards. It does not replace an external audit or a notarial record where the law or the articles of association require them (Art. 203 LSC). It saves time and adds traceability to the results.

## 05 / Scalable implementation for meetings, boards and communities

From shareholder meetings and boards to community and association votes, our blockchain-based solution is scalable and adapts to the needs of each organization. Whether for a small group or a large community, it fits the voting process you already have.

Company-law fit: a remote general meeting requires provision in the articles of association and safeguards on attendee identity (Arts. 182 and 182 bis LSC, BOE-A-2010-10544), and certain resolutions may require a notarial record (Art. 203 LSC).

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

**How does blockchain guarantee voting security?**

Blockchain ensures that votes are encrypted and recorded in a decentralized manner on a network of nodes, making it almost impossible for them to be altered or manipulated without the consent of the participants.

**Is it possible to verify the results of a vote on blockchain?**

Yes, thanks to the immutable nature of blockchain, the results are verifiable by all parties involved. The record can be checked by participants and any later change is visible, which reduces the need to trust an intermediary.

**How does blockchain protect voter privacy?**

Blockchain technology uses advanced cryptography to ensure that voters' identities are kept private, while information about votes is secure and cannot be altered.
